FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about our self-healing targets.

PRODUCTS & Materials

What calibers can your targets handle?

Our self-healing targets are rated for calibers up to .50 BMG. However, please note that hollow points, slugs, and flat-nosed rounds are not recommended as they can cause permanent damage to the target material.

How does the self-healing technology work?

Our proprietary rubber compound is engineered to absorb bullet impacts and close around the wound channel after the projectile passes through. The material's molecular structure allows it to return to its original state, effectively 'healing' itself thousands of times.

How long do the targets last?

With proper use (avoiding prohibited ammunition types), our targets can withstand thousands of rounds. Many customers report 7,000+ rounds before needing replacement. Lifespan varies based on caliber, frequency of use, and environmental conditions.

What temperature range can the targets withstand?

Our targets are engineered to perform in extreme conditions, from -40°F to 180°F. This makes them suitable for use in virtually any climate, from desert heat to arctic cold.

Usage & Safety

What ammunition should I avoid using?

Do not use hollow points, slugs, flat-nosed rounds, or any frangible ammunition. These projectile types can cause permanent damage that the target cannot heal from. Standard FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) rounds work best.

How far should I shoot from?

We recommend a minimum distance of 10 yards for handguns and 25 yards for rifles. This ensures safety from potential splashback and allows the target to perform optimally.

Can I use the targets for shotgun practice?

Buckshot is acceptable at distances of 15+ yards. However, slugs are NOT recommended as their flat profile causes damage that won't heal. Birdshot is fine for general practice.

How do I maintain my targets?

Our targets require minimal maintenance. Store them out of direct sunlight when not in use to maximize lifespan. If targets become dirty, simply wipe with a damp cloth. No special cleaning agents required.

Warranty & Support

What does the warranty cover?

Our lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects and premature material failure under normal use conditions. It does not cover damage from prohibited ammunition types or misuse. See our Warranty page for complete details.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Contact our support team with your order number and photos of the issue. We'll review your claim within 48 hours and either replace your target or provide a full refund.
